(Albuquerque, NM)- University of New Mexico students, under the guidance of O.C. Ferrell, recently took the grand prize in the national 2012 National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) Center for the Public Trust National 'Ethics in Action' video competition. The anecdotal video, presented under the team name Ultimate Minotaur Ethics Jam, is entitled ‘The Case of the Questionable Reference’ and can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkFMJ12VQhI. The winning video was produced by team members Drew Wayner and Dezlyn Chacon and earned them a $1,000 cash prize. Schools from around the country competed in this year's competition.
The video competition entry was a capstone project in Dr. Ferrell’s Marketing and Society course, asking students to consider the impact of principle-based business ethics through the development of a video training scenario. The work supports the efforts of the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at the University of New Mexico.
